Winter Wonderland 2021 Christmas Essay Contest Winners Announced

The City of Lawrenceburg sponsors the annual Christmas Essay Contest for Central Elementary School 3rd, 4th and 5th Graders to submitt a holiday essay as part of the Winter Wonderland activities.  This year the topic asked the question “What is the one thing you want for Christmas and why?”

Congratulations to all of the students who participated as the spirit of Christmas is truly captured by these highly entertaining, honestly heartfelt and memorable essays.  After reading every Christmas Essay submitted, Mayor Kelly Mollaun has announced the following Central Elementary School winners:

3rd Grade:
1st Place               Jace McAllister
2nd Place              Violette Mamoran
3rd Place               Dylan Carr

4th Grade:
1st Place               Jacqueline Gilmour
2nd Place              Giovanni Wang
3rd Place               Zaden Adelsperger

5th Grade:
1st Place               Isaiah Smith
2nd Place              Ryot Knue
3rd Place               Mackenzie Scott

The winning essays were announced at the City of Lawrenceburg Mayors Reception and Christmas Tree Lighting on Sunday, November 28th, 2021.   Christmas Essay Contest Winners received a gift card of $100 for 1st Place, $50 for 2nd Place and $25 for 3rd Place, as well as having their original essay personally framed.

Festivities included performances by the Cincinnati Brass Band at the  Lawrenceburg Event Center followed by Tiger Pizazz, Christmas caroling and the unveiling of the Lawrenceburg Holiday Lights display at the Lawrenceburg Civic Park.
