Newtown Park is located along U.S. 50 in the vicinity of the new Tanner’s Creek Bridge site.
This park is very nicely shaded and provides several park benches for watching time fly. There is also a beautiful fountain in the center of the park. This park is also home to a Civil War cannon encased in a display enclosure.
Newtown Park offers picnicking, walking and just newly added two chess and checker game tables (Bring your own chess pieces and checkers).
The park is a perfect setting for the annual “Arts and Crafts in the Park”, normally held here in early September. Also, home to our Farmer’s Market starting the first Saturday of June through September. This year we are expanding the market with a season long schedule of activities that promote “Healthy Eating & Healthy Living”.
