Governor Holcomb and Indiana Department of Transportation Award $101 million through Community Crossings

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb & INDOT Commissioner Joe McGuiness announced today the INDOT’s Community Crossings Matching Grant (CCMG) round 2020-2 Awards. 

The list of all communities receiving matching funds in the 2020 summer/fall call for projects is online at www.in.gov/indot/communitycrossings.

The City of Lawrenceburg has been awarded a Community Crossings Matching Grant Award of $791,809.07.  On behalf of the City of Lawrenceburg and awarded municipalities across the state, Mayor Kelly Mollaun was pleased to share “how excited we are here locally to take advantage of the Community Crossings program to continue to make critical improvements to ensure our roadways remain safe.”

Mike Clark, Director of Engineering for the City of Lawrenceburg who recently announced his retirement following 38+ years with the City of Lawrenceburg stated this is a  “Good note to go out on!!”  The Community Crossings Grant Award funds will go towards the total roadway rehabilitation for Bielby Road between Riviera Drive and Heiner Heights. Estimated construction project timeline to occur within the 2021 construction season.
